A new, multi-screen Odeon cinema for Trowbridge and much needed affordable hotel capacity

Legal & General has received planning permission to regenerate the site of the former Tesco store at St Stephens Place with a new Leisure Park. The plans include a state of the art, all digital, Odeon multiplex cinema, an 80-bed Premier Inn hotel, a range of family-focussed restaurants and cafes, all within a carefully landscaped riverside setting.

Legal & General is enormously grateful to the people of Trowbridge, who engaged wholeheartedly in consultation leading up to the planning consent, and who showed overwhelming support for the proposals for the St Stephens Place Leisure Park

Work is starting very soon

Odeon and Premier Inn are both fully committed to the project. Final contracts will be signed in early April 2012 after which on site contractors will be appointed and construction will begin straight away. We fully expect the St Stephens Place Leisure Park to be open for business in October 2013.

A new leisure park for Trowbridge with a cinema, hotel and restaurants

News

St Stephens Place Leisure Park gets the go ahead

Wiltshire Councillors on the Western Area Planning Committee voted 9 to 2 in favour of granting planning permission for the St Stephens Place Leisure Park. The vote took place at a planning committee meeting on 15th February at the council offices on Bradley Road which was attended by a large numbers of local supporters of the scheme.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of local residents, work can now begin on delivering the scheme, including an Odeon digital multiplex, 80 bed Premier Inn and range of family-focussed restaurants.

We will keep you up to date on progress and look forward to delivering the facilities that Wiltshire’s county town deserves.

Thank you again for all of your support throughout this process.
